Not sure if Volcanic Cinder will surrender to hydraulic jet blasting.  #1 boy sparky is enamored of the  deathly pressure wand device he uses for digging into recalcitrant soils in ND.  One man operable, very precise if you pay attention, and cuts through permafrost in winter, where backhoe gives up.
