Prole drift- the tendency toward shitification. Most obvious now with cheap stretchy and thin fabric on premium brand jeans and tattoos on even some “upper class” individuals.

Home warranty company paid for a new one so I bought another Bosch. So far it’s been fine. Not sure if the first one was just a one off or not but it didn’t last long.

He said if I buy GE, don't do it after 2022 since the Chinese bought the GE appliance arm of GE (I think it's the same as Heier) and they were going to move production to China. I think I heard the appliance production is moving back to the states, but I'm not sure.

An electronic part broke and the refrigerator quit cooling (not sure what it was, but it would not send cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator). The part was NLA and the appliance techs couldn't fix it.

The owners, whom I have spoken to on a number of occasions as well as having purchased about $15k (retail price) of appliances fro them, will NOT sell LG or Samsung products. They only sell domestic brands such as GE or Whirlpool. Why? According to them, the return/failure rates on the Asian stuff are far too high for them to be profitable. They purchase truckloads from the manufacturers and everything is brand new and has full factory warranties, but they said that in the 15 years or so of them doing this they learned quickly that LG and Samsung are not reliable brands.

Also Samsung, or Frigidaire or Amana etc. models for even less. I'm not convinced there's a ton of difference at that price point but maybe? Amana used to be a good brand but I think it's just another Whirlpool label at this point (as is my KitchenAid). I'm a bit wary of Samsung based on reviews of their other stuff.
