I am not completely sure about this, but I don't think the Northstar was
paired with the 4L60E. Yes, GM used that transmission in a ton of cars,
but I think the Cadillac had a different tranny.  If you could find the
Aurora 4.0 engine I think that was mated the 4L60E.   Be careful with
the Northstar or the Aurora engine.  They tend to have an oil leak from
the "mid-case' gasket." Replace it NOW before you get it in the car.   

 

Are you sure this engine will fit into the engine bay?
