Hmm... Well I took a look last night and swapped out that wheel with my
crappy spare.
I couldn't tell any obvious looseness, other than perhaps a little side to
side (as in steering), but it seemed the linkage that I could see on the
right side was moving with the wheel.
So I think I may just take it to the alignment shop and see what they can
find for worn parts or otherwise.
I also may know why I didn't notice the cords showing on the tire before.
It's only on one spot of the tire (maybe 6-10 inches in length) Which also
doesn't look terribly smooth(round) and happens to coincide with a bulge in
the sidewall that's been there since I got the car. I'm thinking this may
also be part due to these crappy-ass Sam's club tires. (they do say B.F.
Goodrich, but I'm not familiar with the "genuine advantage" line...)
Also noted that this crappy spare which is not the same size and was never
balanced rides much smoother (no vibrations on the highway) than the bulgy
tire.
