[MBZ] No Glow, No Start, Car Far from Home

Faint buzz can be a relay trying to work but not having enough current
can't.
Sounds like bad battery, did your dashlights go dim as you turned the key?
Having worked on Farms with tightwad Farmers who never spend any money on
decent batteries I know the sound of relays not being able to work properly.
Then again you could have a short in the circuit which activated a buzzer.
I would take a spare battery, multimetre to check voltages and some tools.
You might have to bypass some systems to get it to run, such as your
glowplugs and starter relay.
Could be your altenator has died (well the thingy yingys in the alteranator
which I can't remember the name of right now but happened to me in my old
200, got us home with all sorts of electrical gremlins but the battery was
dead and would not crank the car over).
Anyway best of luck

Hendrik
